We are celebrating First Nations culture with this special event, led by internationally renowned performer, educator and artist Walangari Karntawarra. The event will open with performance with Diramu Aboriginal Dance and Didgeridoo and Smoking Ceremony, followed by cultural workshops you are invited to join, including collaborative sand painting, boomerang painting, didgeridoo and dance workshops. Delicious Indigenous bush tucker inspired foods by Kallico Catering will be available for purchase. Places for boomerang painting, didgeridoo and dance workshops are limited and bookings are essential.

Paint your own boomerang – Join award winning Aboriginal artist, educator and performer, Gene Kelaher as he teaches young and old about his culture and art. Bookings essential.

Learn traditional Aboriginal Dance and Didgeridoo from experts. The talented and professional Diramu Aboriginal Dance and Didgeridoo will be not only teach you how to “shake a leg”, they’ll explain why, as you learn First Nations’ dances and movement. Male identifiers (a traditional protocol) can have a didgeridoo lesson and take your own (PVC) didge home. As the saying goes “learn the didge for an hour, practise for the rest of your life.” We’ll put it all together and have dance off/corrobboree this evening at 8.10pm.
