Getting around

Sydney Ferries offer a fast, convenient and scenic way to travel … the best way to get to Mosman.

Sydney Buses run from Wynyard, Central Station, North Sydney, Chatswood and the Northern Beaches. Metrobus30 links Sydenham and Mosman via the city.

The Mosman Rider is free and runs 8am to 6pm every day. Hail the bus anywhere along its route.

Mosman Rider

The Mosman Rider is a free hail-and ride community bus service operating everyday, 8am–6pm, on a designated route.

To make it even more convenient to catch the Mosman Rider we have a new tracking system. Here’s how easy it is to use:

  1. Any mobile phone: SMS a blank text to 0459 667 616 and get a return text stating when the bus will reach its next waypoint.
  2. iPhones & smartphones: Go to the website mosmanrider.net from your mobile phone.
  3. Android phones: search the Android Market for the free Mosman Bus Finder app.

Free shuttle buses

For the World Drumming and Cook-Out events a free shuttle bus will operate from 5–8pm and 9–10pm, travelling in continuous loops picking up along Awaba Street, The Esplanade, Raglan Street, Military Road and Spit Road.

For Hunter Valley Uncorked a free shuttle bus will operate Sunday 6 November from 11am to 5pm, travelling in continuous loops picking up along Awaba Street, The Esplanade, Raglan Street, Military Road and Spit Road.

Car sharing

The GoGet Car Share Scheme provides an inexpensive and sustainable means of transport for local residents and businesses, and the wider community, with cars available 24/7 in three locations in the Mosman area.
